Hello, my name is Ashley. I did not know Johnny personally, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. At times like this, I have found Jesus Christs' words at John 5:28,29 to be very comforting where he promised that "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...to a resurrection of life." We also have the comforting assurance at Revelation 21:3,4 that soon "God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore." I just wanted to share something encouraging that has helped my family in times of loss. You will be in my prayers.
Ashley

Johnny and I were neighbors. Of course back in the 50's anybody who lived within a mile or two were neighbors. We played ball together, rode the school bus together and many other things. I remember that during a couple of years in Elementary school I got a picture book where I could put pictures such as "that special someone." That was blank. There was a place to put pictures of friends. But I had Johnny's picture in a special place. I had him listed as "My Pal." He was my pal and my heart breaks for his family today.
