I grew up with Mike in Draper and played alot of sports with him. We even double-dated a few times in Jr. High. I enjoyed his friendship and his competitive spirit. I have not been in touch with him since high school. Skippy and I were in high school with Mike. Sounds like he led a full life serving his wife, family, community, and country . We will both be praying for his family.

I played many a softball game with Mike officiating behind the plate. It was an unspoken rule that no one was to question Mike's calls or would even have the nerve to. I always enjoyed the games Mike was a part of. He will truely be missed! Rocky Petty

Hello, my name is Ashley. I did not know Mike personally, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. At times like this, I have found Jesus Christs' words at John 5:28,29 to be very comforting where he promised that "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...to a resurrection of life." We also have the comforting assurance at Revelation 21:3,4 that soon "God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore." I just wanted to share something encouraging that has helped my family in times of loss. You will be in my prayers.

Deepest Sympathies from the Frank Underwood family. Mike was a good friend to all in our family. When my dad(Frank) passed in 1994, Mike was one of the first people to come to our house and ask what we needed. He and my oldest sister Cheryl, and my cousin Freddy Brady all grew up together. I played a lot of softball games that Mike umpired and spent time talking with him at the park. My cousin Kenny McGuire loved Mike, and loved to pick with him when we were teenagers. Mike was one of our favorite characters, kind of like a legend to us, in Draper lore. He will be missed! Sincerely, Mark Underwood & the Frank Underwood Family
