I met Uncle James 8 years ago before marrying his nephew Mac Washburn. I enjoyed his joking ways & always having something funny to say.I loved hearing him most every Sunday morning when I called him on the way to church. He had a postive attitude about him & never said anything bad about anyone.I truly will miss Uncle James.

My parents and James were best of friends. He was always the life of the party, and Party they did! I remember the friendship they shared. After daddy died James and Doris would still stop by and check on mama. James was my favorite he was truly a dear friend to the Boyd family. I know there were lots of smiles on faces at the Pearly Gates yesterday morning. Come on in James we have been waiting for you. Rest in peace dear friend.

I have very fond memories of the times I saw Great Uncle James while growing up. He had such a sweet spirit and great personality! I truly regret not getting out to Eden to visit him before he left us for a better place. Even though I only saw him sporadically over the years, he made a huge impact. I can only hope that when I marry, my husband will be just as kind, gentle, and a blessing such as Uncle James. Sarah Manuel
