Ethel Chilton Corns, 89 formerly of Eden, but more recently of 353 Ferdinand Circle in Virginia Beach, VA, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the home of her daughter. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 10, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Corns was born January 31, 1922 in Rockingham County, daughter of the late Cullin Bryant Chilton and Louvie Belton Chilton. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her four children, Linda Corns of Virginia Beach, VA, James Bryant Axsom of Haines, Alaska, Michael Ray Axsom of Greensboro, and Roger Dale Axsom of Stoneville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
