James Robert Davis, 83, of 807 Watford Place in Murrell's Inlet, SC, passed away Sunday evening, March 13, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 19, at Andes Presbyterian Church in Andes, NY. Burial will take place at a later date in Andes Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Davis was born March 10, 1928 in Andes, NY, son of the late William Smith Davis and Ethel Wight Davis. He was a World War II Army veteran and a retiree of Middleburg, NY School System as Director of Pupil Personnel Services. Surviving is his wife, Lois Shultis Davis of Murrell's Inlet; son, Bill Davis and wife, Kathleen of Eden; and three grandchildren, Jon Davis and wife, Kristen of Wake Forest, Delisa Reavis and husband, Louis of Chapel Hill, and Jimmy Davis of Raleigh.
