Margaret "Jean" Kingston Allen, 67, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, of 259 Martinwood Road in Eden, passed away late Sunday evening, May 19, 2013, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 23, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born May 15, 1946 in Rockingham County, daughter of the late Newton and Cleo Coleman Kingston. She was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 1965 and a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tommy" Edward Allen of the home; daughter, Penny Scearce of Eden; son, Eddie Allen and wife, Wendy of Monroe; grandson, Joshua Dishmon; two granddaughters, Emmie and Addie Allen; sister, Betty Kingston Hudson and husband, Gene of Eden; brother, Tommy Kingston and wife, Sandra of Eden; two nieces, Amanda Lawrence and Brooke Kingston; and two nephews, Kerry Hudson and wife, Lisa and Frank Hudson and wife, Gayle.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her brother, Tommy Kingston, 316 Kingston Road in Eden.

Memorial contributions may be made to Veteran's Park, Veteran's Honor Guard, or American Legion Post 254. All contributions may be mailed to PO Box 852, Eden, NC 27289.
