Norma Earles Craig, 79, passed away Monday night, May 13, 2013, at Morehead Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 17, at Trinity Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.

Mrs. Craig was born August 28, 1933 in Spray, NC; daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Weadon Earles. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School, Class of 1950 and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her son, Jim Craig and wife, Mary Lee of Eden; daughter, Robin Craig-Gutierrez and husband, Shelly, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Morgan Hazelwood and husband, Corey, Meredith Johnston and husband, Neil, Anthony Gutierrez and Erin Gutierrez; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Lily Hazelwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Craig and sister, Millie Morgan.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jim and Mary Lee Craig, 134 Alpine Ct. in Eden.

I did not know Norma but her sister Millie was a good friend of mine. I did not know and am sorry to learn that Millie had already passed away.
