I am so sorry about Ashley, she was sweet, kind and I felt so sorry for her being so young and very sick at the same time. She went to school with my son and I think at one time they were in the same class. Such a brave and awesome girl.

I'm so sorry about Ashley. I still remember her as the sweet little girl of about 7 or 8. I know she's in a better place, probably sitting with her Aunt Lynn, eating nana pudding. Love you Christy.

My dear Ashley, how I loved her so. I feel extremely fortunate to have had her for three years in my CIS (Communities In Schools) class at Holmes Middle School. She was always a bright and cheerful spark among her classmates. Her zeal and enthusiasm for school wide projects was unmatched. She shed cheer and magic wherever she perched. My scrapbooks from CIS bring back beautiful memories of a delightful child in happy and fun filled times. May God bless and keep her in the depths of his mercy and grace.

Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I taught Ashley in Algebra at MHS her 9th grade year...how easy her sweet face is to remember because it always had a smile. She loved to be happy and laughing with her friends is usually what she was doing. She was a great girl! I am thankful that I had the opportunity to spend time with her. What good memories those days were!! To her friends also, how sorry I am that you have to go through this heart ache, but remember that the MAN upstairs has really big arms and you can all fall into them when you need him! May time bring peace to your heart....

This was the sweetest girl. She was the student with the most school spirit in the history of Holmes Middle School, always smiling and wanting to please everyone...and she did. Just an angel who will be missed by many. I was honored to have been her counselor. Patricia Clarke Simpson
