Rosa Gilley Land, 92, of 323 Greenwood Street in Eden, passed away Sunday evening, February 17, 2013, at Morehead Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 20, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Land was born September 6, 1920 in Patrick County, VA, daughter of the late John Henry Gilley and Mollie Gillie Gilley. She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Land; five sisters, Kathryn Gilley Trent, Eva G. Trent, Emma Hyler, Mary Craig and Martha Jones; and two brothers, Thomas and Robert Gilley.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon, 1 - 1:45 pm at Fair Funeral Home, before proceeding to Roselawn Memorial Gardens for the service.
