Vivian Pearl Hylton Coleman Flynn, 89, passed away Tuesday night, February 12, 2013, at Brian Center of Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 16, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Flynn was born July 25, 1923 in Fieldale, VA, daughter of the late Homer K. and Rosa Lawless Hylton. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School. During Mrs. Flynn's working years she was employed by Dupont, the cigarette factory and Morehead Memorial Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church until her failing health in her mid 80's. She loved gardening, cooking for her family and fellowship times with the whole "gang". Everyone who knew her could tell she was a Christian by the way she lived her life. She truly loved her Lord and family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay C. Woodall and husband, Tommy and Diane Heffinger, both of Eden; four grandchildren, Bryan M. Cox and wife, Kristy of Pelham, Jonelle Whitt of Reidsville, Dee Whitt of Reidsville and Shane Woodall and wife, Janet of Eden; five great-grandchildren, Bryce C. Cox of Pelham, Jade Whitt and Naturi Whitt, both of Reidsville, Katelyn and Sarah Woodall of Eden; brothers, Clyde "Buster" Hylton and Buddy N. Hylton of Eden; and sisters, Mildred H. Manuel, and Alene H. Meade and husband, Frank , all of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John W. Coleman and Howard C. Flynn; her daughter, Carolyn Whitt; sisters, Ethel H. Morgan and Hazel Findley, brother, Raymond Hylton.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Kay, 131 Vaughn Street in Eden.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Virginia Street, Eden, NC 27288 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
