Ronald Moore, 71, of 115 McDaniel Rd, Eden, passed away Saturday evening, January 19, 2013 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 23, 2013, 4pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Moore was born November 14, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Sam Moore and Ruth Abshire Moore. He served in the US Navy and retired from Miller Brewing Company where he worked as a systems engineer for 21 years.

Surviving are his three daughters, Erica Moore and fiance Brett Roberts of Ridgeway, VA, Sarah Hall and husband Chuck of Covington, VA, Rachel Roser and husband Heath of Fayetteville, NC, one son Joshua Moore of the home, one sister Mary Jo Stafford and husband Donald of Daleville, VA, five grandchildren, Brandi Moore, Noah Roberts, Mikayla Neese, Sadie and Logan Roser, two nephews Chris Stafford and Donald Stafford, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife Pamela Moore.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening January 22, from 7 until 9pm at Fair Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rockingham Community College Scolarship Fund; Hwy 65, PO BOX 38, Wentworth, NC 27375.

Condolences on your loss. While I hadn't seen Ron in many a year, I appreciated many of the long talks we shared on his and Pam's visits at my parent's house. Ron also helped my mother on a few occasions and that meant a lot. I will keep him in my prayers.
