Faye Arlene Yeatts Axsom, 84, of 1184 Cobbs Knob Rd., Axton VA, passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, VA. The funeral service will be Monday January 14, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Axsom was born June 8, 1928 to the late Walter Yeatts and Florence Cobb Yeatts in Rockingham County, NC. She was a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church for over 50 years, and retired from Fieldcrest Mills where she worked in the packaging department for over 40 years.
Surviving are her daughters, Cathy A. Spangler and husband Wayne of Eden, NC, Beth A. Sacrinty of Axton, VA, grandchildren Larry Spangler II of Axton, VA and Michael Spangler and wife Erica of Eden, NC, great grandchildren Mason Spangler and Alexis and Austin Denny of Eden, NC, sister Waltzie Y. King of Cawker City, KS, brothers John Yeatts and wife TiaJuana of Tappannock, VA, George Yeatts of Axton, VA, brother-in-law Hubert Myers of Ruffin, NC sister-in-law Betty M. Axsom of Holden Beach, NC, aunt Thelma C. Overcash of Axton, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceeding her in death are her husband Eugene Axsom and her sister Hope Y. Myers. Visitation will be Sunday evening January 13, from 6 until 8pm and other times at the home.
