A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 30, at First Methodist Church of Draper. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.

Wayne was known, by many, as the gentleman that pulled the Santa Claus float each year for the Draper Children's Christmas Parade for 30+ years, until his failing health prevented it.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Willis Memorial Baptist Church in Cascade, VA or to First Methodist Church of Draper, 130 Main Street, Eden, NC 27288.

It‚àö¬¢‚Äö?ᬮ‚Äö?묢s difficult losing someone we love no matter what the circumstances may be. I am truly sorry for your loss. May Jehovah, "the God of all comfort", comfort you and help you to cope during these most difficult days. Find hope in a God that offers a better future for us all. Revelation 21:4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away." I offer you my sincere condolence.

Paula, Clay & Arline....Shirley and I cannot begin to express to you how thankful we were to have Wayne a part of our lives. On a personal level he was as good of friend as anyone could have. The conversations that we had were ALWAYS entertaining....and sometimes even had a point!! On a professional level he watched over us and our automobiles for over 20 years. On a spritual level we are sure that he was welcomed to his new home above. If there is anything that we can do for either of you Shirley and I will do our utmost best to help you. I still can't believe my good buddy Wayne will not be around the corner with his sly smile.
