I want to say how sorry I am for the loss of your father. Jim was such a sweet and loving man. I enjoyed the many talks him and I had over the years. His stories of his travels and his career as a landscape artist. He told me such vivid stories of Hawaii that I felt I was there. He loved his friends and family so much. He was so proud of his two sons and all of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. God Bless Peggy Hall Shropshire

Jim was good loving uncle. He was self-educated for the most part, and yet one of the smartest persons I ever had the pleasure of spending time with in my life. My only regret is that I didn't have the privilege of spending more time with him. Jim I hope your looking down from heaven, and you see how many faces are looking up to heaven for your face. We miss you.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. We just heard the news. We enjoyed our talks with Jim when we saw him working on his North Carolina property in Uwharrie. A very interesting and talented man is gone forever. We will miss him.
