Judy Hutchens Lester, 63, of 165 Sherry Lane in Stoneville, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 13, 2012, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 16, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Goodwill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Lester was born September 30, 1949 in Eden, NC, daughter of the late N. G. Hutchens and Bertha V. Hawkins Hutchens.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Gene" Lester of the home; daughter, Sherri Clark; son, Alton Clark both of Eden; step-daughters, Sherry Lester Stephens and husband, Tim of Walnut Cove, Cindy Lester Shelton and husband Joey of Eden; grandchildren, Angel Fredericks and husband, Zack of Ridgeway, VA, Amanda Bolick of Eden; sisters, Nancy Hamlett of Stoneville, Carol Cooke of Reidsville; brothers, Jesse Hutchens of Stoneville; step-grandchildren, Erica Stephens of Greensboro, Ashley Stephens and Colton Shelton, both of Eden; great-grandchild, Tyler Fredericks; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Smith.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
