Camillia Sheckells Dorsett, 85, of 1136 Kellam Farm Road in Sandy Ridge, NC, passed away Thursday morning, October 4, 2012, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital in Reidsville.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorsett was born January 27, 1927 in Rockingham County, NC, daughter of the late Cabbott Sebastian and Sallie Bett Duncan Sheckells.
She is survived by her four children, Melinda Cardenas of the home, Belinda Kay Lind of Columbus, OH, Walter Dorsett of Baltimore, MD and Todd Dorsett of Eden; four grandchildren, Chasity Dorsett, Noah Dorsett, Janie Lind and Walter Dorsett, Jr.; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Olszewski of Strongsville, OH and Obelia Weaver of McDonough, GA; and brothers, Mark Sheckells of Baltimore, MD and Roger Sheckells of McDonough, GA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Dorsett.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at Fair Funeral Home from 1 - 1:45PM, before traveling to the cemetery for the service.

Aunt Camillia was a great lady, like a second mother to me. I believe she was given a long life because she had so much love to share with everyone who met her. Her laughter and kindness will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. I know she is sitting at her rightful place at the Sheckells Family table in heaven.

I have many fond memories going to Camilla's when I was just a kid with Kim and Betty Dawn. We had so many good times there. Warms my heart that you all are such a close family. And yes Derike, I can still hear her laugh! I had lots of good times with all of you. There must be a big party going on in heaven as she is greeted by her loved ones. Much love to everyone.
