Pauline Hawkins Hopkins, age 87 of Eden, passed away on Saturday morning September 29, 2012 at Morehead Nursing Center.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Overlook Mausoleum.
Pauline was born September 23, 1925 in Rockingham County to the late Isaac and Elsie Bryant Hawkins. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, was husband, Truman D. Hopkins; brothers, Buford and Belvie Hawkins; sister, Jerline Amburn.
Surviving are son, Dwight Hopkins and wife Martha of Eden; grandsons, David, Franklin and Isaac Hopkins; sisters, Hilda Martin and husband Junior of Eden, Judy Doss and husband Garfield of Pelham and Doris Brammer of Hickson, TN; brothers, Frank Hawkins and wife Diane of Eden, Bob Hawkins and wife Ann of Sunset Beach, NC, and Ronnie Hawkins and wife Dione of Eden.
Family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 -8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the sons home, 821 Oakridge Drive, Eden.

Dwight and Family, I know that your heart is broken as mine is. Pauline was a wonderful and beautiful lady. I will cherrish her forever. I really loved when Pauline, Judy, and Hilda would spent time together on Sunday and I could talk them into singing for me. They all have such beautiful voices together. We can take comfort in knowing that she is walking with no pain or worries. It was an honor and pleasure to care for Pauline and be a part of your family.
