Kathleen "Kathy" Ruth Fitch Davis, 57, of 135 Glencove Drive in Eden, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, August 25 at St. Joseph of the Hill's Catholic Church. Immediately following the service, the family will gather and greet and have fellowship at the Morehead / Fair House next to Fair Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born February 14, 1955 in Cooperstown, New York. She grew up in Sharon Springs, NY before attending St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Kathy was also National Board Certified in Biology. In July of 1978 she and her husband, Bill, moved to Eden where she later raised their three children before she began teaching Biology at Holmes Middle School and then Morehead High School.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Davis of the home; sons, Jonathan Davis and wife Kristen of Wake Forest, NC and Jimmy Davis of Raleigh; daughter, Delisa Reavis and husband, Louis of Johnson City, TN; mother, Jean Fulcher of Florida; sisters Doris Fitch of Bethlehem, PA and Holly Widanka of Henrietta, NY; and brother, Rob Fitch and wife, Mary of Greensboro, granddaughter Kate Davis and numerous neices and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 7 - 9 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
