Mollie Odell Chilton, age 78 of 14013 N.C. 87 North, Eden passed away at her home on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Chilton was born June 24, 1931 in Rockingham County to the late Joe and Susie Hopkins Odell. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Morehead Memorial Hospital in the Enviromental Services. She was preceded in death by her son; James Stephen Chilton; brother, Cecil G. Hopkins; and sisters, Edith Davis and Lucille Meeks. Surviving are daughters; Galye C. Hand of Eden, Carol Faye Lanier of Lexington, NC, sons; Ronald Chilton and wife Jill, Paul Chilton, Dale Chilton and wife Pam, Gary Chilton and Randy Chilton, sisters; Evelyn Corum , Eva Wade, and Myrtle Odell all of Eden. She had 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday evening at Fair Funeral Home from 7-9 pm and other times at the home.
