Mary Ann Kirkman Rickman, 83, of 2664 Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, passed away late Tuesday evening, July 24, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County in Martinsville, VA.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 28, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Moulden officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Eden, NC.

Mrs. Rickman was born October 2, 1928 in Henry County, Virginia, daughter of the late Jesse Clyde and Annie Dunn Kirkman. She was a graduate of Ridgeway High School and of Averett University. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper and was a member of Kings Highway Christian Church in Eden, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Billy D. Rickman, of the home; daughter, Risa Ann Coleman and husband, Jim L. Coleman, two grandsons, Andrew N. Coleman and Matthew W. Coleman and his wife, Christina S. Coleman, and one great-granddaughter, Emily M. Coleman, all of Ridgeway, VA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kings Highway Christian Church, 417 W. Kings Highway, Eden, NC 27288 and to Axton Community Volunteer Fire Department, 55 Mountain Valley Road, Axton, VA 24054.
