William Junior Carter, 81, of 1118 Hubbard St. Eden, passed away Sunday June 24, 2012 at his home. There will be a graveside Tuesday 11:00 am June 26 at Overlook Cemetery in Eden.
William was born July 15, 1930 to the late William Gent Carter and Gracie Wray Carter in Rockingham County, NC. He was a member of Spray Baptist Church in Eden. He worked for John Smith & Son's and was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are his daughters Becky Dunlap and husband Charles of Eden, Debra Pyron of Eden, Kathy Shelton and husband T.J. of Ridgeway, VA, Wanda Hazelwood and husband Kenny of Eden, and Judy Duke also of Eden, sisters Nancy Price of Ridgeway, VA and Linda Hopkins of Eden, brother Charles Carter of Eden and 14 grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Frances Carter.
Visitation will be held Monday evening 7 until 9 pm at Fair Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
