Avery "Tiny" Emmett Merrell, Jr., 65, of 1518 Gibbs Rd., Reidsville, passed away Friday evening June 15, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. There will be a memorial service held Tuesday June 19, 11:00 am at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Merrell was born to the late Avery E. Merrell, Sr. and Clara Farthing Merrell, February 5, 1947 in Dade County, FL. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a truck driver for many years before his failing health made him retired.
Surviving are his son James Merrell and Juliette of Reidsville, NC, granddaughter Juliana Finney, grandson Jacob Merrell, and special friends at The Carolina Cafe and the L&S Fast Stop. Along with his parents Avery was preceded in death by his wife Belinda Merrell.
