Christine Harris Tart, 66, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 29, 2012 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, June 3, at the home of Mrs. Tart's niece, Donna Carson, at 5228 US 220 Business in Stoneville.
Mrs. Tart was born September 12, 1945 in Stoneville, NC, daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Viola Ramsey Harris. She worked for Whirlpool Corporation in Ohio as a machine operator until she became disabled after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Hieser of Ohio; sister, Jo Ann Fulp of Stoneville; two nieces, Donna Carson and Cindy Weadon, both of Stoneville; and three nephews, Robert and Mike Fulp of Eden and Jeff Fulp of Stoneville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Tart.
The family will gather with friends after the memorial service at the Carson home.

Hello, my name is Ashley. I did not know Christine personally, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. At times like this, I have found Jesus Christs' words at John 5:28,29 to be very comforting where he promised that "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...to a resurrection of life." We also have the comforting assurance at Revelation 21:3,4 that soon "God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore." I just wanted to share something encouraging that has helped my family in times of loss. You will be in my prayers.
