Martha Daum Young, age 79 of 1995 NC Highway 135, Eden passed away at her home on Wednesday May 9, 2012. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Overlook Cemetery. Fair Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mrs. Young was born November 3, 1932 in Comal County, Texas to the late Marvin and Ottilia Oberkampf Daum. She was a member of St. Josephs-of-The-Hills Catholic Church in Eden. She was employed by Reids House and most recently by Granny's Kitchen as a Waitress.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, Malcolm Dale Young and sister, Marjorie D. Jones.
Surviving are daughters, Penny Hill and husband Randy of Eden, Stephanie Howerton and husband Steve of Ridgeway, VA. and Denise Baker of Phoenix, AZ.; brother, Thomas Daum of New Braunfels, TX.; grandchildren, Josh Hill, Jessica Howerton, Dustin Hill, Austin Hill, Conner Isley and special nephew, Tim Jones
The family will receive friends at the home from 7 til 9 pm on Friday.
