Margaret Simpson Paulk, age 76, of 1800 South Ave. Eden, passed away on Saturday morning February 27, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Wednesday February 28, 2010 at Danview Cemetery , weather premiting. Margaret was born in Rockingham County February 23, 1934 to the late Charles "Red" Simpson and Elzie Wiggington Simpson Chaney. She was a member of Osborne Baptist Church since 1991 and enjoyed being a member of the "Care Team" serving food to the members. She was the former co-owner of Johnston-Turner Furniture Company. Surviving her memory is husband; Les Randall Paulk, Jr. of the home, daughter;Teri Sumpter of Raleigh, step-sons ; Gregg Paulk of Pleasant Valley, N.Y. and Dean Paulk of Myrtle Beach, step-daughter; Lindy Pallon of Aiken S.C., brothers; Jack Simpson of Reidsville and Wesley Simpson of Maryland , sister-in-law; Jo Anne Wright and husband Raymond of Eden. There will be no formal visitation, the family will receive friends at the home. Friends may still come by the funeral home and pay their respects if they wish. How blessed I am to have had Margaret in my life even if it was just a little while. How more blessed I am to have had the opportunity to reconnect with her recently.
