William David Hutson, 69, of 1536 Lincoln Street in Eden, passed away Monday afternoon, March 26, 2012, at Brian Center in Eden.

A visitation will be held 7pm to 9 pm on Wednesday evening, March 28, at Fair Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by the US Air Force at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, on the front lawn the following day, Thursday, March 29, at 11 AM.

Mr. Hutson was born January 29, 1943 in Spray, NC, son of the late Taylor and Lucille Harris Hutson. He was retired from the US Air Force after serving his country for 21 years. After retirement he worked as a security guard for Wackenhut, Inc. Mr. Hutson loved builidng birdhouses and was known, fondly, as the "bird man".

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Hutson.

He is survived by his three children, Donna Wilson and husband, Mark of Spring Lake, NC, Wayne Hutson and wife, Wendy of California and Mark Hutson of Clinton, NC; two grandsons; brothers, Booker Hudson and wife Sandra, Gene Hutson and wife Betty; sister in law, Margaret Hutson.

He held a special place in his heart for his numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews and especially his niece Gayle Hutson, for all her love and care she has shown him.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Brian Nursing Center.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of marks dad...he was a very good man and will be missed...we had no idea that he was even sick or we definitely would have been there...take care and contact us if you need absolutely anything at all

I have known David for twenty years are better. He was such a good friend to myself and my children-Joe,Randy and courtney.Me ,David and Homer would meet up at the flea market and go for coffee at the store,and look for bargains .We just loved it so much.David was always there if i needed someone to talk to or just hang out with.But i moved away,but my thoughts were never far from my friends there in eden.David use to love the flea market and would always have old bottles,birdhoses and mcdonalds toys.He just loved everybody.He always talked of his family and children.Guess he has gone to the flea market in the sky.We will miss you David.Your friend always sharon grubbs
