Irene Jones Smith, age 89 formerly of the Bent Farm Road, Stoneville passed away early Saturday morning March 17, 2012.
Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Connie Earles with entombment to follow at Overlook Cemetery Mausoleum
Mrs. Smith was born December 11, 1922 in Spray (Eden) to the late Alonzo and Mary Rierson Jones. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills and was attending Wayside Church of the living God.
Preceding her in death along with her parents was her husband Paul Smith; grandsons, Keith Bailey and Jacob Nathaniel Clark; sister, Lessie Price; brothers, Raymond and Bill Jones.
Surviving her are son, Ronald Bailey and wife Mamie of Eden; daughters, Louise Jones of Pilot Mountain, NC, Doris Drum and husband Pedro of Eden; grandchildren, Lori Goins and husband Brian; Alisha Wyatt and husband Chad, Tammy Jones, Brandy Jones and husband Michael,Kenny Dodson, Brandy and Wayne Barker and wife Angie; great grandchildren Cheyenne and Erin Wyatt, Briana Holland, Brian Goins,Samuel Barker and Michael Smith, numerous neices and nephews.
Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at 611 Riverside Drive, Eden.
