While it is and will be difficult for all that loved Clemmie to grieve, we will be challenged to honor her life and the impact she has made in our very own. If we do not grieve, we do not ‚Äö?Ñ??need‚Äö?Ñ?? a Comforter‚Äö?Ѭ? if we do not need a Comforter, we miss knowing this intimate aspect of the Holy Spirit and our Heavenly Father. As you know, He sent us the Holy Spirit to grieve the loss of His physical presence. After an appropriate time of grief is when He will challenge us to remember her life and replace the pain with the good memories of the past. The very memories that will cause pain in the beginning will begin to be a refreshing reminder of her love and the good times spent together, only the power of His Holy Spirit can achieve this through such pain. We can only do this by keeping our eyes on Him through it all, now and later. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Clemmie was my childhood friend and that I am grateful.

My fondest memory of Clemmie is as the fortune teller at a carnival in a backyard ballfield in Green Acres so many years ago. Her beauty and desire to be different were inspiring to the curly blonde haired boy with big ears who was a constant fixture in the Lemons home. I doubt any of you realize what an impact you had in making me the man I am today. Her memory lives on in those who loved her. Find strength in one another. You are in my thoughts now as you have been for the many years past.

Clemmie was like a ocean full of water ,sometimes strong and forceful sometimes calm and peaceful. When the water left the shores the ocean leaves treasures on the shores. Clemmie left treasures in your heart. These treasures she has left in our hearts will never be forgotten. She will be missed.

The name Clemmie takes me back to the early years of my teaching career at Morehead High School! What a beautiful, talented, vibrant young person she was! I haven't been in touch with her or your family for years, but I have the sweetest memories of one who brightened every person's life and especially mine. Sorrow does not last forever, but memories do...and so does love. Hold your precious memories of beautiful Clemmie in your hearts and know that others are thinking of you and wishing you comfort at this time of loss. It is with a heavy heart and a sense of loss that I send these condolences to you. MHS English Teacher

Today is May 1, 2011. Clemmie and I worked together at the American Place Theater, Off-Broadway in NYC. I was in the show, "The Karl Marx Play". What a hoot of a time. After the play closed, we became close friends. Her laughter at life kept many of us going. We lost touch with each other over the years but in the strangest way, we reconnected. The last time I saw her was in 1992. Right after my 40th birthday I went to visit Clemmie and told her that I had a dream (literally) about riding a motorcycle and thought I'd like to buy one. She knew someone who was selling his and that night he came over and took me for my first drive. I bought it and it was shipped to Brooklyn, NY. I could have bought any other bike but this one, my first, came through Clemmie. While navigating my own life challenges, I thought of Clemmie, not knowing how to find her, I would sometimes input her name in Google, on Facebook, finding nothing and in a dream this early morning, Clemmie's name popped up again. I found this page. I cannot express my profound sadness enough, not in words anyway for you Ruth and family. For the things I've been through, I would have called my friend. Lord knows, I'm on the internet, too easy to find. I hoped she would have found me sooner. So, now, here I am. She will be remembered in my prayers. Don't mean to go on so long. I think I'm in shock. For the tears, light and laughter she brought to my life, I am truly blessed.

Dear Lemons Family,  I had looked for Clemmie for years and then Chuck, told me about a year ago that this wonderful friend had passed.  God put Clemmie in my life at the best time possible, of  course, I know of her because of her being Miss Eden.  I will always remember how beautiful she was, However, it would be December 1975 that I really met her. For about a year after, I would see her and we danced, laughed, and talked.  To the world, she was beautiful but it would be us getting to know each other that I found how truly beautiful she was on the inside. Clemmie had this great kindness, love, and understanding that I love her so.  She help me come out and be proud of who I was. I made it through Wake Forest during that time.  Unfortunately by 1977 I lost touch but she left me a much better person.  I just want you to know, I saw her and not the Beauty Queen but a wonderful humanitarian.  A giver of love, hope, wisdom, and courage.  I was 16 when she was Miss Eden.  To me, today, Clemmie was my MISS AMAZING.  I am 70 and I remember everything she taught me and love her to this day.  Family, you were blessed.
