Christine Estes Chrismon, 84, formerly of Eden, NC passed away Sunday evening, January 1, 2012 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth, NC. There will be A graveside service Tuesday 2pm at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, with Fair Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Chrismon was born January 28, 1927 in Leaksville, NC to the late John Earlie Estes and Lila Hardiman Estes. She worked at American Tobacco in Reidsville, NC with 38 years as an inspector. She also enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing, and working in her flower gardens. Surviving are her brother Carlton Estes and wife Janice of Eden, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Chrismon, Sisters Inez E. Pegram, Edna E. Alderman, Bobbie E. Thornton, Edith E. Chilton and brothers Cecil Estes, Ralph Estes, Calvin Estes and Doug Estes. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Carolina House of Reidsville and Hospice Home of Rockingham County for their excellent care, love and friendship given to Christine. It is with great sorrow to hear of Christines passing. I use to work 3rd shift at the Carolina House. I always enjoyed working with her. She was so sweet and kind.She use to tell me about her working at American Tobacco Company and about working in her flowers.I will always remember how she loved to be pampered (she was just the cutest thing.)I am praying for the family and I know she will be missed.
