Valena Angle Minter, 81 formerly of 1417 Delaware Ave. Eden, NC and for the last five years in Danville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday December 19, 2011 at Danville Regional Hospital. Valena was born November 8, 1930 in Spray, NC to the late Charles Ralph Angle and Deloras Dillon Angle. She graduated from Schoolfield High School and later was a graduate of Danville Technical Institute. She was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and homemaker. Valena was a member at Immanuel Friends Church for over 50 years serving on many committees and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was married to the late J. Clyde Minter in June of 1954. She is survived by her daughters, Delores Weber and husband Dale of Reidsville, Denita McDaniel and husband, Alan of Danville, and Kim Minter of Eden; son, Joseph Charles Minter and wife Tiffany of Raleigh, sisters; Ralphine Hyler, Mildred Shields, and Brenda Mason , brother; Wallace Angle and wife ( Merle),grandchildren, Brian McDaniel and wife Miracle, Chris McDaniel, Matthew Minter and Ashley Minter and greatgrandchildren, Ivy Foy and Delilah McDaniel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 Pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Denita McDaniel, 125 Wills Street , Danville, VA. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Immanuel Friends Church in Eden with burial to follow at Dan View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fairfuneralhome.com
