Thomas Leonard Stump, 65, of 1816 South Avenue, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 30, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 3, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Stump was born January 27, 1946 in Pulaski, VA, son of the late Harvey Leonard Stump and Thelma Lawson Stump. He was a US Army veteran and had worked for Heilig Meyers Furniture Company as warehouse manager. Surviving is his wife, Margaret Sapp Stump of the home; daughters, Donna Belcher and husband, Shane of Bassett, VA and Heather Cribb and husband, Christopher of Eden; son Douglas Stump of Bassett, VA; brother, Willard "Eddie" Stump of Fieldale, VA; sister, Teresa Stump of Rocky Mount, VA; and four grandchildren, Bradley, Ashley, Erica and Kimber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry E. Stump.
