James David "Cotton" Seal, 73 of Carrington Lane, passed away November 7, 2011 in Eden. The funeral will be held Thursday November 10, 2011 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Eden. "Cotton" Seal was born July 8, 1938 in Eden, NC to the late Charlie and Fannie Wood Seal. He was a member of Spray Baptist Church, and was self employed as a painter. Surviving are his daughter; Cheryl Leake and husband Winfred of Stoneville, four sisters; Dorothy Barker of Ridgeway, VA, Ann Dillion, Rachel Christley, and Linda Seal all of Eden, NC, three brothers; Carl Seal and wife Nancy, Larry Seal and Roger Seal and wife Hilda all of Eden, NC, two grandchildren; Laura Thomas and husband Matt of Wilmington, NC and Kari Leake of Stoneville, NC. The visitation will be held Wednesday evening 6 until 8pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister-in-law "Kat" Hodges, 809 Warren Ave. Eden. Are

Cotton was such a good man with a giant heart...Always bringing us potatoes and tomatoes and apples from one his mountain trips. All he wanted in return was friendship and something sweet to eat!!!! We will truly miss him stopping almost everyday...You couldn't help but love him.....
