I am so sad to hear of Mercia's passing. I met her through her work on ancestry.com and discovered we were distant relatives through the Barker family. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I am a distant cousin living in California. Mercia and I exchanged many e mails over the past few years, and I feel that I got to know her well. She was a fine lady. I'm just sorry that we didn't get to meet in person.

Family, I am very sorry to hear Mercia has passed away. She was so much help to me when I got on Ancestry. She was my first contact. We worked together to get the Allen and Norman side of my family. She taught me alot about finding sources and inputting photos in my Family Tree. I loved the Barker Newletter. I will miss her so much. God Bless all of you.
