Sarah Imogene "Sissy" Boyles Martin, 84, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 24, 2011 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital in Reidsville. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, August 26, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was born December 24, 1926 in Rockingham County, daughter of the late Eric and Celestia Talbert Boyles. She was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church and a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Joseph "Joey" Martin and wife, Becky of Reidsville; daughter, Sarah Jane Martin of Reidsville; one grandson, Eric Martin of Reidsville; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Liam Martin of Reidsville; and brother, Philip Boyles and wife, Fran of Ridgeway, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jackson Martin. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 134 Radford Lane in Reidsville.
