Danna Kendrick Denny, 61 of 353 Laurell Drive, Eden, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday July 25th at Immanuel Friends Church with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Denny was born in Reidsville, NC to the late Arthell and Rebecca Eanes Kendrick. She was a retiree of Rockingham County Government where she worked in personnel and also worked for Vanier Graphics for more than 25 years. Mrs. Denny is survived by her husband, Donald Denny of the home and her sons, Bryan Denny and fiance Erin Carmody of Raleigh and Jason Denny of Chicago, Ill.; brother, Randall Kendrick and wife Doris Ann of Ruffin; and nieces Hannah & Rachel. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday July 24th from 6-8 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fairfuneralhome.com

Donald and the boys, I hope you already know that all of us at the former Mental Health Center loved Danna for being the kind and thoughtful person that she was. These qualities were important for the position she held, but she didn't have to work at it, it came to her naturally. I personally came to rely on her skills as well as her friendship as we worked together to close the program with as much order and as much care for the employees as we could. I came to respect her even more in that process, and I'll always be glad that I knew her and worked with her. No one could have done better than she did. I'll also say that she talked about her family at every opportunity; of course you, Donald, but especially Bryan and Jason. There was nothing more important to her than her sons. She was always so proud of both of you, the way you handled both successes and problems. She talked about you constantly and her love for you was touching to see.
