Bunnie Carter Slaughter, age 62 of 641 S. Pierce Street, Eden went home to her Lord on Saturday June 24, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral service will be held on 6 pm Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Eden with visitation and meal to follow. Burial will be held at Overlook Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. Bunnie was born January 9, 1949 to Bernard Carter and Bobbie Spencer Carter. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and graduated from Morehead High School Class of 1967. Bunnie was former owner and the present manager of Bunnie's Flowers. She is survived by her husband; Ron Slaughter of the home, mother; Bobbie Carter , sister; Jan Carter Lynn and nephew and "godchild', Spencer Milam all of Eden. I remember when she had the store remolded like she wanted it , she was so happy and she made a great flower shop, and a bussiness, that was all her's , she was very happy about, and I know that she is happy in heaven today.
