William J. Allen, 83, of 501 N. Ayersville Rd. Apt.1 G passed away Saturday June 18, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro. Funeral will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Ridgeview Memorial Garden. Mr. Allen was born in Rockingham County to the late Willie and Dale Thacker Allen. He was retired inspector from Fieldcrest Mills, and was attending Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Regina C. Allen of the home; daughter, Myra Barrett of Mayodan; sons, Daryl Allen, William "Dean" Allen and wife Susan, and Danny Allen and wife Janet; sister, Dorothy Wright all of Stoneville; and five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Allen.
