Janice Broome ElSadder, age 70, passed away peacefully April 9, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2pm, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
Janice was born November 6, 1953 in Belton, South Carolina to John and Jean Broome. Janice received her Early Childhood Education degree from UNC Charlotte, and held various positions in childcare in Mecklenburg and Rockingham counties until her retirement.
Janice was a loving and dedicated mother, but she especially loved her role as a Grandma. She had a giving and vivacious personality, and made friends everywhere she went. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Jean Broome.
Janice is survived by her children Eddie Broome (Amanda) of Stokes County, NC, and Jeana Parrish (TJ Parrish) of Fort Mill, SC; her six grandchildren: Destiny Broome (Jakob), Meleah Broome, Michael Parrish, Laya Parrish, Lucas Parrish and EJ Broome, great grandson Ashton Gwyn, brother Krupa Broome (Robin), niece Iva Broome, Nephew Ejab Broome, cousins, Cristi Broome Chapman, and Lori Broome Burkett, Tim Broome, Johnette Gilliam and Gene Harris.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Janice’s beloved nurse’s aide and friend Melissa Griffin as well as the loving staff of the Eden Rehabilitation Center and Ancora Compassionate Care/Hospice of Rockingham County.
