Nancy Ann Sherrill Wrangham, 65, passed away March 30th at her home in Eden, NC.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 5th 2024 at First Presbyterian Church at 12 Noon.
A gathering and fellowship will follow the service at the Morehead-Fair house at 420 Boone Road, Eden, NC.
Nancy was born September 4,1958 to the late Dr. Frank Sherrill and Alice Jean Johnson Sherrill in New Bern, NC. She graduated with the class of 1976, at Morehead High School. After graduation she studied at East Carolina University, University of North Carolina in Greensboro and received Bachelor Degree in Home Economics. In 1990 she received her training in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She practiced dental hygiene and retired in 2021 from Craig Dietrich Dentistry in Martinsville, Va. Her love of travel led Nancy to work on cruise ships for many years. Nancy was a great lover of animals. She was a part of the Sparkle Cat Rescue of Burlington, NC and Friends of Eden Animal Rescue. Nancy was a member of the Women’s League of Eden.
She and W.C. attended the First Presbyterian Church in Eden, where they were longtime active members. The church has been incredibly supportive of W.C. and Nancy during the challenging time of her illness.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Walter “W.C.” Wrangham, brother, Frank (Sonny) Sherrill, Jr of Eden; two sisters, Susan Sherrill Grant (Gordon)of Asheville, Jane Sherrill Fisher of Eden; brother in law, Fred Wrangham of Charlotte, her nieces and nephews which Nancy called “My Children”, nephews, Matthew Fisher of Eden, Ben Sherrill of Oak Ridge, Nathan Sherrill of Sussex, England, nieces, Glenna Grant of Asheville, Rachel Rugh (Jon) of Blacksburg, VA.; great-niece, Virginia Rugh and great-nephew Grant Rugh also of Blacksburg, VA.

She fought her earthly battle with her loving Husband, WC beside her until the Lord called her home.
