Tanya Jo, My dear and precious friend, A gift was given to me Across the distand miles, A package wrapped in laughter And filled with joy and smiles I pulled away the ribbons, and took the greatest care, When I reached the gift I found friendship waiting there. A friendship like no other, A connection from the start, Not one I could see, touch or feel, Except here in my heart. That gift so rare and precious, Of friendship tried and true, Touched my heart and blessed my life, And is what I found in you. RIP my sweet friend.....I will love and miss you always..... Darcy

The Woolridge family- Very shocked and dismayed to hear the news regarding Tanya just the other day even though we were expecting it at any time. I know this is difficult times for all but at least we have many happy memories of the times spent with Tanya from childhood days to the present. She was a sweet and wonderful person with a very caring and giving personality. Talking with her was always a real treat to both of us and always peaked out interest. Jerry and Janet

I met Tanya as a neighbor of mine when I first moved to Virginia Beach. What I knew about Tanya: She was warm, friendly and knew no strangers. I can still hear her laughter. I know she loved Stephen King novels and we were able to go see him years ago when he was in Virginia Beach. As all people move on, so did we when she moved to NC but she always kept in touch. I know she was proud of her grandson and I was able to see many pictures of him and of her. I admired her strength and humor even in light of her illness through her correspondence. I was truly saddened to learn of her passing. My condolences go out to the family. Tanya, know that many will miss you.
