Janet Coleman Stewart, 56, of 3331 Garrett Road, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday morning, May 2, 2011 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stewart was born November 22, 1954 in Spray, NC, daughter of the late Rufus Hardy and Pauline Eggers Coleman. She attended Roberts Memorial Baptist Church and was a former employee of Sara Lee Manufacturing. Surviving is her husband, Mike Stewart of the home; daughter, Sherry S. Coleman and husband, Shaun of Stoneville; son, Charles Lee Stewart and wife, Margenia of Madison; five grandchildren, Brandon and Seth Coleman, Cameron, Nathan, and Makenna Stewart; brothers Rudy Coleman of Eden and William Coleman of Martinsville, VA; and three sisters, Brenda Smith of Axton, VA, Blanche Walker and Ruth Bateman, both of Eden. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 7 - 9 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. To the Coleman family: I really hate to hear that Janet has had to go through this suffering. Mom talks about your Dad alot and in turn I think of the family too. I will keep you all in my prayers.
