James "Jimmy" E. Walker, 65, cherished husband, father and "papa", of 231 Cicero Trail, passed away Monday morning, April 18, 2011, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 20, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Walker was born March 1, 1946 in Reidsville, son of the late Jamie Wade and Bessy Chatman Walker. He was an electrical supervisor for Dave's Construction Company. In his spare time he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Lynn Walker of the home; daughter, Lori W. Williams and husband, Andy, and their children Megan and Dylan of Reidsville, Bobbi W. Leonard and husband, Jerry, and their children, Jordan, Brandon and Bryson of Reidsville; son James "Jimmy" E. Walker II and wife, Jessica and their daughter Haidyn of Eden; brothers, Paul Walker and Robert Walker, both of Reidsville; sisters Edna Barnes and Linda Perkins, both of Reidsville and Patsy Foster of Casville, NC; special nephew, Michael Woodard and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Eric Neijstrom, his staff and Hospice of Rockingham County, including a very special Hospice nurse, Misty Richardson, for all their loving care and support. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
