David Blane Law, 64, of Ridgeway, VA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2021, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 29th, at Fair Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Born November 6, 1956 in Rockingham County, NC, David was the son of the late Ralph W. Law and Nannie Mae Newman Stump. He was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church in Axton, VA. David had worked for Fitts Tractor.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jones Law of the home; two sons, Shane Wilson (Kristin) and David Law, Jr. (Tessa), both of Eden; three daughters, Jennifer Dishmon of Ridgeway, Jackie Harding (Richard) of Bassett, VA and Kathy H. Smith of Axton, VA; grandchildren, Krysta Proctor and Cameron Wilson, both of Eden; along with his true companion, his service dog, Hank Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Law.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Jennifer Haynes and Debbie Lagray for their loving care and support they gave David. In addition, to Joyce Eggleston for her uplifting prayers and witness. They also want to thank the Mountain Valley Hospice staff, with special thanks to nurse, Greer Shrewsberry.
