Margaret “Ann” Hazelwood Motley, 85, passed away Monday night, May 24, 2021, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, May 28th, at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 – 3 PM) at the church.

Born July 17, 1935 in Danville, VA, Margaret was the daughter of the late Emmett Hazelwood and Opie Mitchell Hazelwood.  She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Motley of Eden and Michael Motley (Deborah) of Hickory; two grandchildren, Caleb Jozef Motley and Kayla Motley; three great-grandchildren, Waylon, Andrew and Levi; brothers, Bobby Hazelwood (Doris) of Axton, VA, Moyer Hazelwood of Cascade, VA and Clyde Hazelwood (Mary) of Reidsville; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berkley Ronald Motley.
