Marvin “Crick” Mathew Gravely, Sr., 83, passed away Friday morning, April 23, 2021, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A Graveside service will be held at Overlook Cemetery on Tuesday, April 27th at 2:00pm.

Born April 20, 1938 in Spray of Rockingham County, Marvin was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Gravely and Elizabeth Pritchett Gravely. He worked at Spray Cotton Mills.                       

He is survived by his four children, Marvin M. Gravely, Jr. of Madison, Sharon Rose Gravely Edwards of Mayodan, Frank Gravely of Mayodan, James Richard Maladona Gravely of East Bend, NC; seven grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Sierra, Casey, Jade, Jackson and Kimberly. Nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Harris of Martinsville, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Lambert Gravely; grandson, Talon Gravely; brothers; Ernest, David, James, Jimmy, Luther, Lonnie, Joe and Ed; one sister, Myrtle Rigney.
