June Land Gatewood, 79, passed away Friday morning, April 2, 2021, at UNC-Rockingham County Health Care in Eden.

There will be no formal services.

Born July 6, 1941 in Leaksville, June was the daughter of the late James Curtis Land and Dorothy Dalton Land. She was a member of North Spray Christian Church. June loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Duward Gatewood (Donna) and Rodney Gatewood (Melissa), daughter, Connie Koontz (Bill) of Eden: five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: sister, Anna Gilley (Lanney) of Eden and her long time best friend, Barbara Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Gatewood.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Spray Christian Church or the Charity of ones choice.
