Maurice Joshua Norris, 77, passed away on Monday morning, February 15, 2021, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 17, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home. 

Born March 16, 1943 in Tabor City, NC, Maurice was the son of the late Alton P. Norris and Alice Neely Norris.  He was a member of Wayside Church of the living God and a retiree of Parkdale, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson Norris of the home; two daughters, Tammy Norris Davis of Lexington and Cynthia Denise Edwards (Terry) of Stoneville; son, James Michael Duggins of Trinity; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Michael Norris of Tabor City and Wayne Norris of Thomasville; and sisters, Argie Jones of Trinity, Sara Jean Lane of Thomasville, Mary Alice Norris and Nizie Suggs, both of Tabor City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Iris Holliman.
