Ronnie Lee Hobbs, 55, of 1300 Rivercrest Drive, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 6, 2011 at Guilford Health Care Center in Greensboro. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, February 9, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Hobbs was born May 19, 1955 in Lancing, Michigan. He was a member of Floyd Missionary Baptist Church in Stoneville. Surviving is his mother, Rosetta C. Hobbs; brother, Ricky L. Hobbs; paternal grandmother, Ruby Medley Hobbs of Mebane; aunts, Esther Hobbs Lucas of Mebane, Freda Scarlett of Greenville, NC, and Blanche Allred of Franklinville, NC; and two uncles, Clyde E. Hobbs of Midland, Texas and Reverend Archie L. Hobbs of Woodruff, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Rossie James Hobbs, Jr. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10 - 11 AM) on Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home. Anne, I am so sorry to read of Ronnie's passing. I know you won't remember me, but I was your neighborback in the 70's and 80's. We also wwnt to church together for a while. Ronnie was a good christian man. I know how great a loss this is for you. We have to rest in the promises of God that our children are with the Lord. May God comfort your heart in the coming days.
