Freda Mae Wilmoth Joyce of 1204 W. Washington Street went to be with Her Lord Thursday morning, January 14, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 18, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Joyce was born in Surry County, NC, daughter of the late Kelly and Nancy Norman Wilmoth. She previously worked for Fieldcrest Mills and also Dupont, Inc. Mrs. Joyce was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is her husband, J. LeRoy Joyce of the home; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Dehart. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to a church of the donor's choice. Preacher Joyce, I am so sorry to read of Freda's passing. One thing that I feel for certain is that she is among many family members and friends celebrating her homecoming in heaven. I know that you can find comfort in knowing this. She certainly lived her earthly life as a christian, and I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to know both of you. You are in my prayers.
