Douglas Edwards, 67, passed away today January 2, 2021 at his home in Eden, NC

A private graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Doug was born June 15, 1953 in Leaksville to the late William Thomas Edwards, Sr. and Edith Mildred Belton Edwards.

He is survived by his brother, William Thomas "Tommy" Edwards, Jr. and numerous cousins.

I'm very sorry to know Doug passed away. We started the first grade together. I also attended church with Doug and Tommy for many years. Doug was a genuinely kind soul who always had time to speak and I loved running in to him at festivals. He knew music of all types and loved talking sports. He never failed to ask did I know Jesus. I'm glad I knew Doug, rest easy my friend. Jerry Smith

I am so sorry to hear about Doug. It was always nice running in to him places and he would always ask about all my family, wanting to know how they were doing. So many memories of him at church growing up. He will definitely be missed.
